The Gotham Fund: Support diversity, competitiveness, and growth of rugby

The Gotham Fund is a multi-year fundraising program. It aims to raise sufficient funds to enable Gotham to continue to further its mission of diversity, competitiveness, development, and growth in rugby.
Gotham won the Bingham Cup in 2010 through the hard work of Gotham players, supported by great coaches, and the support generous donors. The Gotham Fund aims to build on that success to achieve success in the Met NY Union, and ultimately to defend the Bingham Cup in 2012. Gotham has undertaken two campaigns of this size in recent years. The first succeeded in installing new rugby pitches at Randall's Island. The second campaign supported Gotham in winning the Bingham Cup in 2010.
We are asking players, alumni, family, friends, and fans to support the Gotham Fund. Donate by going to the Gotham Fund Registration page.
Gotham invests in the growth of rugby in New York. You can too
Early in 2008, the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation (RISF) approached Met NY Rugby Union (Met NY) asking it to meet a shortfall in funding of $100,000 for permanently lining and providing uprights for three IRB (International Rugby Board) regulation-sized artificial turf rugby pitches on Randall’s Island, two of which would be lit. Gotham led the way by committing to fund the costs of the pitches to the tune of $25,000. In doing so, Gotham invested in its own development and in the growth of rugby in the New York area.
Gotham's RISF Campaign has now successfully concluded. Through the generosity of its supporters, Gotham commited to raise up to $25,000 to pay to upgrade fields under renovation on Randall's Island into dedicated rugby pitches. Thanks to those who participated, either at the Gold ($2,000), Silver ($1,000) or Bronze ($750) levels, Gotham met its commitmenr. The upgraded rugby pitches on Randall's Island are now complete and fully paid for. Since 2008, they have already been the scene of matches, practices and tournaments for Gotham and other contributing rugby clubs, as well as two national All-Star 7s tournaments and the Northeast Regional playoffs.
