Gotham is featured in the first prize winner of Time's World Press Photo 2017: The Best Sports Images

"Giovanni Capriotti’s unconventional portrayal of Rugby players, which throws macho stereotyping out the window, won First Prize for the Stories category. Meanwhile, the intensity and pleasure of competitive chess was thoughtfully drawn by Michael Hanke, whose series, which won Second Prize in the same category, shows that excitement can be found off the pitch too."

ESPN Sport Center features: Mark Bingham

On Sept. 11, 2001, Mark Bingham was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 93, and one of the heroes who stopped the plane from reaching its intended target, the United States Capitol Building. But it is the lives that Bingham has saved, and those he has impacted since his passing, that help to define his legacy, and the Sunday, Aug. 29, SC Featured segment will examine that legacy. The Bingham story will debut in the 10 a.m. edition of SportsCenter and will re-air in other editions of the program throughout the day. Read more about this on ESPN Front Row.

Our beloved winger, Brad Thorson, on coming out, identity and self-pride.

"My identity was built by a collection of traits I saw and related to in the groups I was a part of. For the majority of my life, the most informal group was athletes, and I knew athletes weren’t gay, ergo neither was I. As I’ve been able to become my own man, I’ve also been able to truly realize who I am. The biggest internal struggle has been in defining what makes a man." - BT
